A popular Washington guide book which went through many later editions. It includes a large (12 1/2 x 16 inch) map of the city and an even larger folding plate (20 x 27 1/4 inches) lithographed by E. Weber & Co., Baltimore, of the Capitol building looking west over the mall surrounded by twenty smaller scenes including Georgetown University, the Washington Monument (as proposed); the President's House, Patent Office, Treasury, City Hall, and east and west views of the Capitol, etc. In very good condition.
