Scare promotional brochure with only four copies listed on OCLC -- Cleveland Public Library, Hagley Museum, Chicago History Museum, and the Canadian Center of Architecture, Quebec. A brightly colored advertisement for Merchant's metal "Spanish" tiles made of copper, tin, steel. The title page states: "Castles in Spain look no more attractive than roofs covered with the picturesque Merchant's metal "Spanish" tiles,..." Among the major buildings that used their tiles and are illustrated with chromolithograph images are the Colorado Building, World's Fair, Chicago; Hollenbeck Home, Los Angeles; Princeton Inn; New York harbor showing Ellis Island Buildings covered with their tiles; Haddon Hall, Atlantic City; and several private residences, including five Santa Barbara, CA cottages. Other illustrations show the factory operations. The final leaf is an endorsement from the United States government which states they authorized Merchant & Co. products to be used on government buildings. Very good.
