The book is bound in a handsome, tan embossed polychromatic binding in pink, pale green and gold with the image of a floral cross on both front and rear boards.  Off-white decorative shining gilt panel to pastedown, with white watered silk with fine decorative gilt borders as responds, all edges gilt--a good example of the curious and scarce polychrome panelled books often to be found on Prayer-Books or Bibles in the 1830's.
