Rare trade catlaogue not recorded on OCLC - the Fall 1900 catalogue for Department 9. A thoroughly illustrated catalogue for the architectural and building trade issued by the wholesale division of Chicago's leading department store, Marshall Field and Company. The fully illustrated catalogue depicts a wide range of cabinetmaking hardware and tools made from iron, brass, and gilt or antique-finished brass. Included are door knobs, commode buttons, hinges, locks, clamps, drill bits, glue, and plate and window glass. Prices are specified by quantity purchased and discounts and discount terms are clearly stated. Marshall Fields & Compnay's wholesale division was an important part of the company, often outgrossing its more famous retail store. The upper wrapper depicts the Marshall Field Wholesale Store in Chicago designed by Henry Hobson Richardson in 1881. Wrappers separating at tail with some wear, else very good.
