First published in 1733 under the title, A Treatise on Carpentry, Elizabeth Harris identifies this as the first comprehensive work on carpentry in English. Helen Park found more copies in eighteenth century America (twenty-seven) than of any other single architectural title. George Washington owned a copy (the 1768 edition). Slight chipping to head of spine else very good.
